Pricing questions, answered plainly
Is the free Nest plan really free?
Yes, free forever, not a 30-day clock. If your church has under 50 active people and needs up to 10 staff and volunteer logins, the Nest plan covers the core of Roost at no cost, with no card on file. You only move to a paid plan when you outgrow those limits or want the advanced tools.
What happens when we grow past the free limits?
Nothing breaks and nothing gets deleted. When you cross 50 active people or need more than 10 logins, we will let you know and you can step up to Starter in a couple of clicks. Your data, history, and setup carry straight over.
Is there really a free trial on the paid plans?
Yes. Start any paid plan free with your own data, no card needed. You get the full experience so you can decide with your team before you pay a cent.
How is 'active people' counted?
Active people are those who have attended, given, served, or engaged in the last twelve months. Inactive and archived records never count against your plan, and they never get deleted.
What does giving cost?
Roost does not take a cut of your donations. You pay standard payment-processor fees, and you can pass them to givers with a fee-coverage toggle. Because processing is pluggable, you are never locked to one provider.
Can we move up or down a plan?
Anytime, in a couple of clicks. As your church grows you can step up, and if a season is quieter you can step back. Nothing is held hostage.
Do you help us move off CCB?
That is the whole point. One-click import maps your CCB data with a preview and a rollback, and larger churches get a migration concierge. See the CCB comparison.
Is our data ours?
Always. You can export everything you put in, whenever you like. Open API, church-controlled backups, and no lock-in are core promises, not upsells.
